Employer's Claim Service, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Steve Borgstrom, a seasoned professional with a deep commitment to providing exceptional workers' compensation claims administration. With a background in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Steve brought a unique perspective to the industry that emphasized thoroughness, integrity, and attention to detail.
Before founding ECS, Steve gained valuable experience working with Wausau Insurance, where he honed his skills in claims management and developed a keen understanding of the challenges employers face when dealing with workers' compensation. This experience, combined with his law enforcement background, gave him the insight needed to create a company that would truly serve the needs of Illinois employers.
In 1987, Steve established Employer's Claim Service, Inc. in Libertyville, Illinois, with a vision to provide personalized, responsive, and expert claims administration. From the beginning, ECS was built on the principles of transparency, dedication, and a genuine commitment to client success.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve has been deeply involved in his community. He has served on the Libertyville Police Pension Board and as Chairman of the Police and Fire Commission, demonstrating the same dedication to public service that he brings to his work at ECS.
